AMERIT AWARD 2004

Three papers were received for A-Merit Award 2004.

The titles of these papers, along with the names of the authors, are listed below in the order of merit after evaluation by A-MERIT. 

1.  Effects Of +Gz Acceleration On Time And Frequency Domain Indices Of Heart Rate Variability. Dr (Maj) Rahul Pipraiya (WINNER).

2. QTc Dispersion: Effect of Simulated Microgravity. Dr.Gopala Krishnan (STAND-BY), Dr. (Major) Anuj Chawla.

3. White Coat Hypertension (WCH) in Aviators: The role of Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM). Dr.Gopala Krishnan, Dr. (Wg Cdr) Singh.

Dr (Maj) Rahul Pipraiya, is the recipient of the Award 2004. However, he was not able to attend the AsMA meeting due to personal reasons. Therefore, the Award was given to the stand-by winner, Dr Gopala Krishnan, who is pictured below with a delegate. Dr Gopala Krishnan presented his paper at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the AeroSpace Medical Association (AsMA) in Anchorage, Alaska, USA, in May 2004.
