ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR A-MERIT AWARD
- Students undergoing the post-graduate degree course (M.D.) in
aerospace
medicine at the IAF Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore, India;
or
Specialists who have completed/passed the post-graduate degree course
(M.D.) in aerospace medicine from the IAF Institute of Aerospace Medicine,
Bangalore, India in the preceding FIVE years.
- Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of India.
- Candidate whose scientific paper, on any subject within the broad
discipline of Aerospace Medicine, is adjudged as the best paper by A-MERIT.
Notes:
- A
sub-committee of A-MERIT will assess the papers in accordance with the
guidelines used by AsMA and the International Congress of Aerospace Medicine (ICASM).
Based on the results of that assessment, two candidates would be selected, a
main, and a stand-by.

An individual may submit only one paper in any given year, and may avail of
only one A-MERIT Award in his/her lifetime.

Unsuccessful applicants may reapply for the Award in subsequent years.
- Successful applicants unable to avail the Award due to some reasons may
also reapply for the Award in subsequent years.
